FAQ

I sent my SmudgeCoin to the wrong address, or I sent SmudgeCoin to a correct address, expecting goods or a payment in return, and have not received anything back - can you help in either case?

Sadly, no in both cases. As noted above, SmudgeCoin is a decentralized project and the developers working on the project have no special access or ability to reverse transactions or recover funds. Please consult with the relevant authorities in respect to the parties, exchanges, wallets or other services used.

Can you reset my two factor authentication?

We do not run any of the services which require login. Please contact the service in question (i.e MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.).

I lost my wallet/private key, what do I do now?

In many cases we discover people have backups they've forgotten about, checking old systems or thumb drives for copies is a good idea. If the keys are entirely lost, however, there is no way to recover them. Please back up your keys regularly.

I sent coins to a giveaway, why hasn't anything come back?

SmudgeCoin giveaways and airdrops will never ask users to send coins to receive coins back. Sadly these are people impersonating the SmudgeCoin founders and developers. Any giveaways will be conducted on SmudgeCoin's official social media handles listed in our documentation. There's a good article on this on the BBC news website at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-56402378.

Why has my trade failed or not gone through on an exchange?

SmudgeCoin founders and developers have no relationships nor do they license exchanges SmudgeCoin is listed on (i.e. Pancakeswap, Uniswap, KuCoin, Coinbase, Quickswap, etc.). Please reach out to exchange in question.

Where can I buy SmudgeCoin?

Before Smudge is listed on any exchange the only place to buy SmudgeCoin is through the crowdsale. After the crowdsale is completed SmudgeCoin will be available for purchase through a number exchanges. These exchanges will get listed here in SmudgeCoin's documentation.
